 Westover is an inclusive girls independent boarding and day school for grades 9-12 in Middlebury, CT, situated in serene Western Connecticut. Founded in 1909, the Westover campus is an environment that encompasses students in Westover’s intentional living and learning community. The Frederick Gunn School, founded in 1850, is a co-ed boarding and day school for 325 students in grades 9-12 as well as a post-graduate year located in Washington, CT. The school’s student body typically consists of students from more than 25 states and over 20 countries - nearly 80% of students live on campus. Frederick Gunn was a pioneering educator, courageous abolitionist, and rugged outdoorsman. He inspired generations of students to be curious and thoughtful, to be active members of their communities, and to stand up for what they believe in - he was a transformational leader.

Bard Academy is the nation’s first two-year boarding and day program designed to prepare 9th and 10th graders to start college early. Within six years of entering Bard Academy as a high school freshman, a student who matriculates into the College will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. The Academy curriculum is designed and taught by college professors. 

To give our students the right building blocks for a full, meaningful experience, Bard Academy shares both faculty and campus resources with Bard College at Simon’s Rock. Bard Academy is one of very few private high schools with college-quality facilities dedicated to arts, science and technology, and research and scholarship, as well as health, community, and athletics.

Simon’s Rock belongs to a family of early college programs within the global liberal arts network of Bard College, and the Bard Academy approach is based on the successful examples of the Bard High School Early College programs across the country. These programs, which were founded by Simon’s Rock faculty, and which are grounded in decades of innovative early college programming at Simon’s Rock, offer students who are ready to learn and succeed an early start on both a college and life-long education.

Founded in 1794, Cheshire Academy is a college-preparatory boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 plus Postgraduate (PG). The historic 104-acre campus is nestled in the bucolic but central town of Cheshire, CT, just two hours drive from both Boston and New York. With approximately 304 students from 13 states and 21 countries, the Academy takes a flexible and tailored approach, allowing students to combine a variety of academic and extracurricular offerings optimal to their individual needs, strengths, and interests.
